Since we had such a dissappointing pea harvest in spring we’re trying again. These however are snow peas which will be great for stir fries and just plain snacking on. There aren’t many pea plants coming up, but they are flowering. Always a welcome sight!
And since it’s the end of the month, I wanted to thank all of these fine folks who’ve sent the most traffic my way. You guys are the greatest!

We don’t have great success with pod peas either, they’re mostly kid-fun. Have you tried sugarsnap peas? Like snowpeas but crunchier and sweeter. Yum!
My gosh those peas look great! What zone are you in? If I started them here on the Monterey Peninsula right now they would be withering in the heat! I have some soaking right now to try and get them established before they are beat down with rain.

Erin, I don’t remember which zone we are in, but it’s been hot here too. We have ours in a part of the garden that gets a lot of shade. Plus when they sprouted it was cool but now with this returned heat this past week they have slowed down. It looks like the weather is going to cool down again though within the next day or so. Yippee!
I’m not a sprout person, but they look cool. And my peas this spring were disappointing too, so I’m trying again also. Maybe the cold weather will keep them from dying.
