The First Spring Weekend

March 22, 2009 by asonomagarden 3 Comments

Oh what a glorious way to enter into spring. The first tulip bloomed on the first day of spring. There were rain showers, blue, blue skies, billowy white clouds, March breezes, drinks with a new friend, dinner with an old, dear friend and days spent together outside.

Did you have a good first weekend of spring too?

How I miss the colors of spring – those pinks, and greens and purples are so beautiful! We’re still covered in several feet of snow and will be until late May.

We don’t have nearly as much blooming here but the signs of spring, though farther behind than yours, are abundant in swelling buds and bulbs just starting to shout out.
